The cactus is considered to be one of the most low-maintenance house plants. A pot, some light and a little water – that's all that an ordinary cactus needs for life. Just don't stick needles into it, it already has enough of those! To store needles and pins you should get a felt cactus instead. It wouldn't even need watering. And you can use the pot as a storage box for trinkets.
